Beth Burgee on What It Means To Be A Local

She may have been born and raised in Montgomery Village, Maryland, but Beth Burgee now fully considers herself a local to North Carolina. She fell in love with coastal North Carolina in the early ‘90s, moved to the area in 1992, and hasn’t looked back since. “I fell in love with the friendly people and the beautiful beaches,” she says, when asked why she chose to raise her three children in the Tarheel State.

Since 2021, Beth has taken her love of the Wilmington, NC area to a new level in her work with the Coastal Community Real Estate Group (CCREG). She’d already worked in the realm of residential real estate in a variety of roles for years. Her work ran the gamut of positions; she worked as a Marketing Coordinator for Winding River Plantation, then also as a Builder Representative for Legacy Homes, then as a Marketing Manager for Brunswick Forest. In her current capacity, as a Real Estate Agent and Marketing Director for CCREG, she’s able to take all the expertise she’s garnered over the years and use it in an integrated and exciting way.

A Team Like No Other

“We’re a big family here at Coastal Community Real Estate Group, and many of us wear multiple hats,” says Beth, “My role is to ensure our message is consistent with our brand, grow our audience, and help our agents find success as they assist our clients in reaching their goals. Our agents are knowledgeable, experienced, and really care about our clients; they’re not just here to make a sale and move on. My job is to help our team nurture these important relationships by providing them with the tools they need to be the best, most efficient agents in coastal North Carolina.”

According to Beth, the CCREG team is like a big family. All team members understand that working together is key to everyone’s success. “It’s a really positive work culture,” she says. What’s more, she loves working with a team of experts who really know their stuff. “We have a team of very experienced agents who are true area experts.” says Beth, “and they sincerely care about their clients. It’s not unusual to hear about an agent who went above and beyond. Whether they helped someone move furniture or met a contractor at their home while they were away. Or even attended a get-together with the new owners. It’s an inspiring team to work with.”

Outstanding Community Life

Beth’s motivation to go above and beyond stems from knowing CCREG’s communities are fantastic places to live. She knows she’s helping folks find a dream home in coastal North Carolina, and that knowledge drives her to success. “Take the Home Place of Southport, for example,” says Beth. “It’s in a perfect location — close to the beach, shopping, churches, medical resources, restaurants and activities. Plus, the floorplans of the homes are just ideal for retirees. The space has a great flow; it’s open and allows for natural light, making it a cheerful place to live. There’s room to entertain, plus a bonus room option. Perfect for folks who like to host overnight guests, have a hobby room, or even just need additional storage.”

She and the team have the same enthusiasm for other CCREG communities. Such as The Haven and Brunswick Forest, and are eager to use their know-how to help clients find a stunning place to call home.

Coastal Carolina Specialties

It was the people and beaches that first caught Beth’s eye to the atmosphere of coastal Carolina. Since then, she’s gotten to know the area and has seen all it offers. Being enamored by all kinds of delightful activities and amenities. “This area was made for foodies and beer connoisseurs,” she says. “The level of cuisine here is top notch. And many of our restaurants have been featured in national publications or have received prestigious awards. What’s even better is that these venues really give people the chance to get out and make a community. Plus, these eateries are a great complement to one of the many live concerts in the area.  The live music scene here has the vibrancy of a big city, but without all the traffic and crowds.”

At the end of the day, Beth cherishes being part of her clients’ journey to make coastal Carolina their new home. She’s glad to have discovered this magical region and is passionate to help others find that same magic. “North Carolinians are neighborly. No matter where you end up in coastal North Carolina you are going to be among friends,” she says. And isn’t friendship what it’s all about?
